A major bridge in Kiev was hit by Russian drone strikes for the fourth consecutive day, resulting in two injuries. According to Kiev Mayor Viktor Klitschko, the northern bridge (the northern bridge) was hit again on Sunday, causing traffic to stop and creating traffic jams in the city. Russian forces stated that they would increase their attacks on vital infrastructure in Kiev and other Ukrainian regions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian drones hit a warehouse in the Sumy region, resulting in one death. He also noted that six people were injured in an attack on a communications facility in the city of Dnipro. According to the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Russia launched 135 drones, including 52 combat drones, leading to the downing of 125 of them.

Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made an unexpected visit to Kiev to support Ukraine in the face of ongoing Russian aggression. On X, he wrote: "Ukraine is facing crucial weeks. That is why I am in Kiev today to send the message: you can count on us." Germany agreed to provide a package of assistance worth approximately 1.3 billion euros to support Ukraine in energy and weapons.

Klitschko stated that the southern bridge (the southern bridge) was hit several times in the previous week. This attack caused a large gap in the middle of the road. Although the bridges are still standing, the traffic restrictions have led to traffic jams in parts of the city. He also noted that the attack caused damage to a heating pipe, leading to a hot water outage in the Desnyansky district.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure are a response to Ukraine's attacks on Russian energy facilities. Despite Russia being the one to initiate the first attacks, it continues to claim that it is responding to Ukrainian attacks. According to Russian Foreign Ministry statements, warnings have been issued to foreign citizens and diplomats to leave Kiev. In response, the European ambassador, Katarina Mathernova, wrote on X: "The European mission will remain. Threats will not stop European support for Ukraine. They only remind us why this support is important!"

In conclusion, Ukraine continues to align with Germany and its Western allies to face increasing Russian attacks. While the bridges in Kiev remain standing, the repeated attacks threaten to disrupt the city's vital infrastructure and increase pressure on the population.
